“Red Robinson has been such a great supporter of the Vancouver music scene for many years. It seems right that he should be presented this year’s Legend Award,” said Jeff Dawson, VMI Founder. “This award was created to recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to the local music industry, and Red Robinson has been an integral part of this for many years.”

He was elected into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame in 1997, and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2000.

“I am extremely honored to be receiving this award,” said Red Robinson. “I am so proud to be part of this wonderful city and the great music industry we have here.”
